Programme Description

This programme provides course participants with a strong foundation in pedagogy, assessment, inclusive practices and educational theory. It aims to provide those within or wishing to join the education sector with the necessary tools and competences to teach effectively whilst fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all learners. Within this programme, learners shall foster a deeper understanding and engagement with the role of religion within society, beliefs, traditions and practices in religion, the Catholic Tradition, the Bible, and major world religions.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to be in possession of the following:

An MQF Level 3 (Grade 1-5, or equivalent) in Maltese, English Language and Mathematics.

In addition to at least one of the following:

An awarded MATSEC Certificate (MQF 4) with a grade C or better in Religious Knowledge at Advanced Level.
Three subjects at Advanced Level (MQF 4) with a grade C or better in Religious Knowledge and another subject, and at least a grade D in a third subject.
Two subjects at Advanced Level (MQF 4) at grade C or better including Religious Knowledge and three intermediate subjects with a minimum grade D.
