The Special Interest Group on Social Determinants of Health and Education is a collaborative initiative focused on understanding and addressing the non-medical factors that influence health outcomes, particularly the impact of education on the social determinants of health. These include socioeconomic status, housing, nutrition, mental health, and access to services. The objective is to promote research and policy development on how social and educational environments impact the health status of our society and facilitate multi-sectoral partnerships between health, education, and social policy stakeholders to foster a whole-of-government and a whole-of-society approach.
