Your Graduation Ceremony
When will the graduation ceremony take place?
Conferring your Degree in absentia
Graduands who are unable to attend the graduation ceremony, will be contacted after the ceremony to collect their certificate and transcript. If one cannot collect his/ her certificate personally, a designated person of trust may collect the relevant documentation by presenting a copy of the ID card of the Course Participant. It is not customary practice for the IfE to send certificates and transcripts by post.
Data Protection
Kindly note that the press will be invited to this event and that the Institute for Education shall also be taking photographs that may be used on its website and other media to publicise its events. All processing of personal data shall be made in accordance with the GDPR(EU) 2016/679. For further information, kindly refer to the Institute for Education’s Data Protection Policy.
Hiring of graduation toga
All graduands attending the graduation ceremony are required to wear the appropriate graduation attire. The Master’s hood has been exclusively designed by The Groom Collection, 423, 425 Triq il-Kbira San Ġużepp, Santa Venera.
Graduands are expected to adhere to the standardised attire which is composed of the following:

Graduation caps / mortarboards
Graduation caps must be worn during presentation of award and may be worn for official photos however it is highly recommended that during the ceremony one takes off the cap.
Award ceremony attire for graduands and accompanying guests
The graduation ceremony is a formal event and one must ensure that the appropriate clothing is worn for this special occasion. As a general guideline, smart clothing is recommended.
Male graduands: shirt and tie with smart trousers, or a dark suit.
Female graduands: smart top / blouse with skirt or trousers, or a suitable dress.
Accompanying guests are encouraged to adhere to the same dress code and avoid attire such as jeans, casual footwear, shorts or sportswear.
Graduation photography
Discreet photography is permitted during the ceremony. We kindly ask you that guests / family members remain seated whilst taking photos.
Certificates & Transcripts
During the graduation ceremony, each graduand will be awarded an official certificate and an academic transcript showing details related to the qualification, all modules covered during the qualification and obtained results.
Additional copies of the academic record and certificates may be requested through the following form and in line with the Administrative Charges.
Digital Certification on the Blockchain
You can now access your IfE Certificate/s in digital form on the blockchain. Your blockchain IfE Certificate will be available and easily accessible via the Blockcerts Mobile App which can be downloaded by following the steps below:

Step 2: You will receive an automated email from us inviting you to add the Institute for Education as an issuer.
Step 3: Once you have downloaded the app, just click the link in the email, and we will appear in the app as your first issuer – It’s that easy!
Through the App you can retrieve, verify, and share your IfE Certificate. It’s important that you add the Institute for Education as an issuer in order to receive your digital certificate on blockchain.
