Classroom Management
Teaching in the 21st century requires that teachers reflect on their classroom practices and become knowledgeable in classroom management techniques. This entails creating an environment that is conducive to learning and development and understanding how to manage behaviour issues.
By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
a. Establish which skills would be useful in a classroom;
b. Collaborate with other educators on activities assigned;
c. Create activities and opportunities which include diverse learners’ needs;
d. Transform their present classroom set up by taking the course reflections into consideration.
a. Define the factors which influence how we teach;
b. Establish qualities of an effective teacher;
c. Describe the appropriate physical and psychological environment which is conducive to learning;
d. Develop daily procedures and routines;
e. Recite how to work with LSAs and parents.
a. Plan and propose how best to organize one’s classroom;
b. Apply classroom management techniques to everyday classroom.
This module will be assessed through: Reflective Task and Assignment.
