Dr David Darmanin is the founder and former CEO of Hotjar, a product experience insights platform used by over one million websites worldwide. Bootstrapped without investors, Hotjar grew into a $50M-a-year global business with a distributed team across 40+ countries, before being acquired in one of Malta’s largest startup exits. The company gave back 1% of its revenue, among other initiatives, planting over one million trees. Today, based in Italy, he focuses on investing, mentoring founders, and homeschooling his two children.
