This action research study explores how AI enhanced tools transform early years reporting in a Maltese Church school, improving efficiency and enriching narrative assessment. Guided by Assessment for Learning principles, it involved ten educators and parents over two years. Findings show AI reduces writing time, improves feedback clarity, and supports personalised, evidence based reports while maintaining teacher autonomy. The study highlights AI’s potential to enhance, not replace, teacher led assessment practices.
