Fiona Vassallo Medici is the Senior Manager for Course Coordination and School Professional Development at the Institute for Education (IfE) Malta. She began her career in education as a primary school teacher after qualifying from the University of Malta and went on to teach for ten years. Fiona holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and her main area of research focuses on self-directed professional learning. In her current role at the IfE, Fiona oversees the operational management of all programmes and leads initiatives in professional development for educators. She works closely with schools to design and implement tailored learning experiences that support teacher growth and enhance school development.
