The 6th Annual Symposium of the Institute for Education will be held on 21st October 2026 and will focus on ‘From Silos to Synergy: Building a Culture of Shared Responsibility for Education’. Education thrives when teachers, leaders, students, families, researchers and community partners work together to create learning. This symposium invites us to strengthen collaboration so that responsibility for educational quality and student success is shared across roles, sectors and levels.
We also recognise that educational work is still too often fragmented: teachers can operate in isolation, departments may pursue disconnected priorities, support services sit at the margins, and policy can feel distant from practice. These silos limit impact and place strain on school communities.
Proposals are invited for individual papers, practice-based presentations and posters. Posters are especially open to schools showcasing good practice. Participating schools will be awarded vouchers for the school library and professional development for the educator.
Proposals will be received until 18th February 2026. Please find the call for papers here.
