Personality and its Assessments
Through this module, course participants with be trained on testing cognitive ability through Weschler Tests and exposed on how the assessment of cognitive ability combined with the assessment of personality aspects will give a better picture of the individual. Main theories of personality that will be covered include: psychoanalytic theory, humanistic theory, trait theory, social-cognitive theory, biological theory, and behaviourist theory. Focus will also be given to personality issues in adolescence. Within this module, course participants will also explore personality assessment. Within this component, the measurement of personality, how it can be measured through Objective and Projective Instruments will be covered. Course participants will then be trained on the use of the Millon Pre-Adolescent Clinical Inventory (MPACI) and the Millon Adolescent Clinical Inventory.
