Research Component
This module requires course participants to undertake an individual research study relevant to primary education. Course participants will formulate feasible and focused research questions related to teaching and learning in primary classrooms, present a theoretical framework and critically evaluate relevant literature, select an appropriate research methodology, philosophical framework, research methods and critically analyse findings to contribute to evidence-based educational practice. The dissertation process will emphasize ethical research practices, academic integrity and methodological rigor. Throughout the module, course participants will be supported in designing and conducting a research study that addresses real-world challenges in primary education, ultimately enhancing their professional competence as educators and researchers.
