Overall Objectives and Outcomes

Further scaffold from Teaching Invasion and Net Games I. While the Models Based Practice (MBP) approach, whereby a hybrid model Sport Education (SE) and Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) will be retained, this will be reinforced better by focusing on the experiences gained by the Course Participants (CP) throughout their teaching practices. The theoretical aspects of SE and TGfU will be considered in more detail so that CP will develop a stronger and better understanding of the models that are being used to teach Games. While Teaching Invasion & Net Games I focused more on giving a working knowledge for CP, Teaching Invasion & Net Games II will enable CP to delve into greater detail on the tactical principles and pedagogical approaches while still presenting more challenging situations and learning outcomes. The CP will also be presented with situations to assess both invasion and net games so that learners are evaluated on their acquisition of the LO.
