Overall Objectives and Outcomes

The aim of this module is to provide a comprehensive understanding of mini-tennis, beach racket games, ultimate frisbee and archery focusing on their fundamental concepts, game rules, and the vital importance of introducing mini-games to children at a young age. By teaching young players the core principles and techniques of mini-tennis, beach racket games, ultimate frisbee and archery we empower them to engage with the sport in a way that is both enjoyable and educational, setting the stage for their future growth and development of the recreational sports.

By the end of this module, the learner will be able to:

Competences

  • Create effective lesson plans for individuals or groups in the class.
  • tailor lesson plans to the specific needs of their students.
  • assess skill levels, set goals in class, organise drills and exercises, and adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when it comes to playing mini-tennis, beach racket games, ultimate frisbee and archery in all settings.
  • choose appropriate equipment, and implement drills that minimize the risk of injury.

Knowledge 

  • Identify mini-tennis, beach racket games, ultimate frisbee and archery practices accessible for assessing the individual and/or group’s unique physical abilities.
  • Identify the various mini-tennis, beach racket games, ultimate frisbee and archery methodologies to gauge the physical capabilities of individuals or groups.
  • Describe the importance of understanding recreational games, focusing on mini-tennis, beach racket games, ultimate frisbee and archery in order to understand the games.
  • Identify and understand safety factors of playing mini-tennis, beach racket games, ultimate frisbee and archery.

Skills
