PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning and eResearch from Lancaster University
Dr Rose Anne Camilleri holds a PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning and eResearch from Lancaster University, an MSc in eLearning Interactive Teaching Technologies, and degrees in Education and IT in Education from the University of Malta. She is Malta’s eTwinning National Coordinator and Education Officer within the Directorate for Digital Literacy and Transversal Skills. With experience as a teacher, researcher, and trainer, her work focuses on digital literacy, technology integration, eTwinning, and global education.
This qualitative study explores how Maltese educators perceive eTwinning’s role in fostering pedagogical innovation and transformation. Guided by Transformative Learning Theory, the SAMR model, and Activity Theory, it examines how collaboration and technology integration influence classroom practice. Using semi structured interviews and observations with four educators, the study employs inductive thematic analysis to identify key themes, highlighting eTwinning’s potential as a catalyst for transformative, technology enhanced teaching and learning.
