Programme Description

This programme is targeted towards professionals who wish to enhance their skills and competences in pedagogy. The target audience is graduates wishing to join the education sector as a History, Geography, Social Studies, European Studies or Environmental Studies educator, or persons already within the education sector who wish to pursue an initial teacher training programme. It aims to equip participants with the necessary tools and competences to teach effectively in the 21st century classroom whilst fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for learning.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to be in possession of the following:

A Bachelor’s Degree (MQF Level 6 with a minimum of 180 ECTS) with a minimum of 60 ECTS in History or Geography or Social Studies or Sociology or European Studies.

Applications

Applications for the Master of Education programme open mid-May of each year with programmes commencing the following September. When open, interested applicants may apply through the Institute for Education’s online portal
