Programme Description

This programme is targeted towards professionals who wish to enhance their skills and competences in pedagogy. The target audience is graduates wishing to join to the education sector as Health and Social Care educator or persons already within education sector who wish to pursue an initial teacher training programme. It aims to equip participants with the necessary tools and competences to teach effectively in the 21st century classroom whilst fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for learning.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are to be in possession of:

A Bachelor degree (MQF 6 with a minimum 180 ECTS) with a minimum of 60 ECTS in Health and Social Care or Home Economics or Physical Education or Psychology or Sociology or Health Care profession or a cognate area deemed relevant by the Institute for Education.

Applicants in possession of a degree deemed relevant though lacking specific modules in Health and Social Care subject content may be accepted on the programme on the condition that additional modules are followed as part of their studies
